A Note from the Founder-Creator
HI, I’M KAIRA AKITA.

A quick internet search lists me as an actor, director, and producer. All facts. But not necessarily the truth. Yes, there is a difference.
Fact: I played Keisha in Why Did I Get Married. I'm that receptionist from The Family That Preys. I was the girl on BET's first scripted series Somebodies. Yes, you've seen me on Being Mary Jane, Dolly Parton's Heartstrings, House of Payne, Star, and other TV stuff here and there since 2008. And yes, I've directed and produced independent work you haven't heard of (yet!).
Truth: My entertainment career is a small, fluctuating piece of my greater body of work. I am, first and foremost, a founder-creator who cares deeply about elevating the quality of the creative human experience. Because when creators have the time & space to be, think, and build well, new worlds open up for everyone.
